“ Amazing view over the countryside towards Basel - we watched the Roche Towers glimmer in the sunset. There are lovely design elements all over the restaurant which is a bit kitsch, a bit kooky and bit fun. The food was very nice. The portions were large and the cordon bleu oozed hot cheese for a considerable time and tasted delicious. As a UK resident though I just can’t get over the eye-watering price of the food and drinks in this region. Nearly 450F for 3 starters, 4 mains and 4 deserts, one bottle of wine, two sodas and two beers. Weirdly we paid the bill and then the waitress came back and told us that there had been a problem with the transfer of information between the tills (?) and she asked us to pay a further 4F. We were speechless that the owner expected us to pay more when they made a mistake. ”
